But also, I just don’t want Buffy anywhere near this recent trend of awful teen vampire crap. If they wanted to take their time and make a solid movie for the sake of making a solid movie and it wasn’t just a blatant cash grab, I think I could be a little more supportive IF it was done well. These kinds of cash-ins never are though.

I just think it’s too soon. As I mentioned in my blog, 30yrs for Battlestar and 40 for Star Trek to be rebooted. Buffy? Doesn’t need rebooting.

I was busy watching Babylon5 when Buffy started, and they conflicted for timeslot. And I wasn’t interested in a vampire tv series at the time.

Later when I caught an episode, I realized just how damned well written Buffy was and became an instant fan of Joss.

Anyway. Too soon. Give it 30 or 40 years. We’ll be old and bitter then, so people will pat us on the arm and say “take your pills, grampa. No need to get upset about it.”
